Grace
The work of Grace is to constantly reveal ‘who I am not’.
After having a good sleep I learned some Portuguese and read some News. I had a nice shower before I went up with my laptop to the veranda doing some work. Pringi brought me a coffee. The plan for this day was the Royal Botanical Garden. Manjula came to visit and Pringi, Manjula and I were talking for a while. Manjula offered to show me her house. We walked over, it is just the next house. When I came in it was very specious. She hasn’t been here for one year as she was in Australia.
Later on I booked a Tuk Tuk for the Botanical Garden. It was just 10 minutes to drive there. I bought a ticket and had an ice cream before I entered the garden. The area is quite huge with different greenhouses, orchids and more. I walked along between very high palm trees and other exotic trees.

Honestly I can‘t remember all the plants and trees I have seen. I found a very big Magnolia tree where I could cozy sit for a nap. There were so many birds chirping in this beautiful forest.

I was in the Botanical Garden for around three hours. I mean literally all Sri Lanka is a beautiful green garden, here it is just more organised 😂
From the Botanical Garden I grabbed a bus to Kandy town, they are going every some minutes. It was a very slow drive, lots of traffic. Back into the hectic city centre of Kandy I had some lunch in a simple Restaurant downtown. The next plan was to visit the Bahirawakananda Temple. It was not far, just I had to walk quite steep up. I asked a guy at one point for the way. I just passed the junction, so I had to walk back a little, even more steep up.
The temple is quite new, with a huge white Buddha outside, you can see it from distance.

What I am missing in all these temples is a proper Meditation room. People mainly coming to the temples to worship Buddha
From there I took a Tuk Tuk back home. I had a nice evening talking with Pringi, she is such a lovely woman.
