Jiva

Jiva is Ishvara Himself. A jiva identifies itself with its body, with the ones around it as ‘mine’, and limits itself to this lifespan. When these identifications are dropped, what remains as jiva is not different from Ishvara.

This is the first morning in my new residence. All good! It’s time for breakfast in Tasty Cafe. My old bike is driving quite well for its age. I had a cheese salad sandwich and black coffee. After breakfast, I drove to the Ashram to have Satsang with Amma. There were many bikes and scooters outside. I was there just before 09:00, but all the chairs were occupied already. Better come a bit earlier next time, it’s not easy for me to sit without something in my back. I enjoy sitting with Amma and how she answers the questions. Sometimes it is not easy to grasp the questions, you can feel how the questioner’s MIND is trying to formulate something.

Tasty Cafe

After Satsang, I went into the shop opposite of the Sri Ramanasramam. I bought some water and nuts, trying not to buy sweets. I drove back home to read and write and to work a bit on our new app. I saw a message from Jonatan, he asked me to come to Nandhini’s, a cafe on Girivalam Road. But I was at Satsang at this time. Then I fell asleep for an hour or so. Later I contacted Daniela and Alexandru. They are still in Tiruvannamalai before going north.

It’s time to have a chai at my favorite place opposite the Ashram. Good to be back! After having chai I crossed the road and entered the Ashram, it was very busy as it is Saturday, weekend. I sat down for a while and listened to the Tamil Parayana, a procedure where men and women are alternating chanting.

I met Daniela and Alexandru at 19:00 at “German Cafe” and had some dinner and we shared our experiences. It was a nice first day here. When I came home I felt very fulfilled.
