Wherever we fail with ego, we are unhappy. Whenever we fail without ego, we are happy. When we fail with ego, we have no acceptance of the failure but have the desire to win, and so, we are unhappy. When we fail without ego, we accept the failure and have no expectation of success, so we are happy. Or, we understand that failure is for the ego and not for me (Self).
It is Amma’s birthday today. The Ashram will open already at 08:00 today. Just dropping off my Flip Flops I met Alexandru. I came early but too late to get a place on a chair. The room was nicely decorated with hearts along the ceiling and all over the walls, quotes were written on it.

Amma was welcomed with the sound of a conch shell before she sat down. People were offering her flowers and other things. There was a queue of devotees bowing down to her. This Satsang was different as there were no questions. In the end, Amma was speaking for a while.

When I left the Ashram we all got a bag with a meal inside. I don’t know what it was. I gave my bag to a begging woman near the Ashram, she was sitting there every morning. I had a chai at my favorite place and bought some water. Alexandru, Daniela, and I wanted to meet for lunch at German Cafe. I was waiting for them in the “German Cafe” when Alex came and said they had eaten this lunch bag from Amma’s birthday already. Of course, I forgot about this. So I had lunch by myself and Alex and Dani were writing their diaries.
At home, I had a nap as usual. There would be a second Satsang today, the Ashram would open at 16:00 for it.
Namaste 🙏

I got the last chair in the room, just next to the door. It was good as I had to leave at 18:00 because the caretaker of my guesthouse was supposed to do some maintenance work, e.g. finishing with the pipes for the sink and installing two more sockets for electricity in the wall. Nobody came at 18:00, so 10 minutes later I called Krishna Kumar, the owner, and asked him what happened. He said his caretaker Pasupathi is just at the hospital with his baby. However, he came one hour later, not for maintenance but with two Indian ladies who cleaned the bathroom and floor. He would come tomorrow to do the maintenance in the room.
Time to rest now!
