DISAPPEARING WITH ALL THE STARS
Early in the morning when the sun rises and the stars disappear, feel yourself disappearing with all the stars. And when the sun has risen and the dewdrops on the grass leaves start disappearing, feel yourself disappearing like the dewdrops. Feel death in as many ways as possible. Become a great experience of death.
I slept in long this morning, at least what I would consider long. It was until 07:30. After a shower, morning Meditation, and breakfast, the day started smoothly. We practised Puja before Sri Ramana Maharshi’s and Papaji’s shrines.
I had the idea to visit a market this morning. Not to buy something but just to look around. Narendra explained to me where I could find the closest one. So I walked there, it was only two blocks away. There were many shops and people selling fruits and other stuff on the road.

I got a coconut to drink. In Lucknow they are more expensive as they are not growing here, 70-80 rupees. In Goa and Tamil Nadu, the price is 30-40 rupees. When I wanted to pay with a 500-rupee note, he said that he didn’t have change. So I was looking for my 10 and 20 rupee notes and coins. I just had 80 rupees together when he complained about a broken and fixed 10-rupee note. I told him to get change for the 500. Then he opened his purse, and there were many 100-rupee notes inside. So he had a change, just wanted to have more small money.
I continued walking. There was a shop where I could buy an ice cream. I sat down with my ice cream, just enjoying the moment. Continuing walking I gave the 10 rupees to a woman with her four begging children. She will hopefully get something for it. I found it always surprising that Indians care so much about bank notes when they are a little damaged. It is still the same value; in Europe, this is no problem.
Back home, I worked on my laptop for a while, reading the news, and saw a documentary about Putin in Russia and Erdogan in Turkey. The world is still strangled in all these power games.
Then there was some lunch, delicious as usual. I am eating more than I need, but it is joyous. I got sleepy and had a nap. Later in the afternoon, I didn’t feel like going out somewhere. I decided to go by bus to Nepal, 16 16-hour journey. I will get a Visa on arrival, it should be easy. Daniela and Alexandru have just done it at the border, just to renew their Indian Visa. For 15 15-day Visa, they are charging $30, for a 30-day visa $50, and for a 90-day visa $125. Quite expensive for a poor country, but that’s probably why.
I applied for a voluntary stay at Osho Tapoban near Kathmandu. It is a beautiful Osho Meditation Center. But they haven’t replied yet. It is just an idea, not mandatory for me. I think about staying two or more weeks in Nepal before flying back to Portugal. The journey slowly comes to an end. Portugal will be warmer when I am back end of April or in May. I will see, you never know what will happen next.
