You can close your eyes to the things you don’t want to see, but you can’t close your heart to the things you don’t want to feel.

Today is a sightseeing tour. I left the hotel to have some breakfast first. There is the MED 5 Restaurant where I had breakfast once. I ordered a sourdough toast with fried mushrooms and spinach and a black coffee, no sugar, no milk. I wondered why this should be sourdough bread and asked the waiter. He went to the kitchen and asked the cook. When he came back, he confirmed it is sourdough. It might be right or not, but I have been a bit ungracious these last few days. I am getting tired of being asked to have a taxi, get a haircut, or do other things. Then I walked over to the Temple Tree Resort & Spa, where I should get picked up. A bike came with a guy, and he asked me if I had booked the tour. He confirmed and asked me to go to the main road. We were waiting for the bus …

The bus came and stopped. There were around 30 Indians, an Israeli couple, and a Mexican woman for this tour. At first, we stopped to visit the Gupteshwar Mahadev Cave and the Devi’s Fall. The waterfall is the same, down in the cave and outside.

Devi’s Fall

The next stop would be the big Shiva statue near the World Peace Stupa where I have been on Monday already.

I didn’t walk up again to the World Peace Pagoda as I had just been there some days ago. Instead, I had a small lunch and coffee in a Restaurant just next to the bus stop. We continued driving, and then, to have lunch, I didn’t know we would stop for this. It was just next to the Devi River. I joined a table with Faviana, the Mexican woman. We had a nice contact. Strong wind came up, and it started raining heavily. Our guide picked us up with an umbrella to reach the bus dry. We skipped the next sightseeing point and continued driving to the Bindhyabasini Temple. It was still raining, and we just walked up under our guide’s umbrella for a minute. Then the tour finished in the afternoon. The bus stopped at Phewa Lake and I walked back to my hotel. It was enough for one day. I didn’t leave the hotel anymore.
