The meaning of conscious life lies in the fact that in rational beings, a mirror of the whole universe arises, in the light of which the original thoughts from the bottom of the world soul become conscious.
I slept deeply the first night in the Green Mandala Inn. It was raining when I woke up, I couldn’t see but hear it. The energy here is different from that in other places in Nepal. Here is a Tibetan Monastery on the hill, monks are going in and out here, having lunch or dinner. I met Max for breakfast. A coffee, toast, and omelet gave me energy.
I was in my room for a while before I left to explore the area a little. There is only a dirty road coming up from town. To the right, it’s going down to town, and to the left, up the forest. I chose the left side. Just close by is a special police quarter, and some policemen were outside on the road. I walked up the road, and here and there, it was a bit muddy. From this hill you see all over Kathmandu.

At one point, there was a cafe, Gurkha Cafe. Some other visitors were here, I guess, for the viewpoint. It’s a shame that so much plastic rubbish is around here. I walked over to the cafe, which was a nice location with cozy seats and a wooden construction on two floors. I sat down and had a masala chai.
Walking back, I used some stairs, I could see them from the road when walking up. It was a shortcut coming here to this cafe. On the road near Green Mandala Inn, I bought some biscuits.
Back there, it was nearly time for lunch. I met Max at 13:00 and we were eating together. After lunch, Johnny joined us, an Italian guy staying in Nepal for a long time. We three had a long conversation all afternoon, drinking green tea. It is always interesting to see different views on the same topic; sometimes, the views match. Back in my room, I was reading for a while. At 18:30, I met Max again for dinner.
I like this environment here, the Green Mandala Inn, and the forest around. In the next days I will explore more around here, visiting the monastery …
