A new day in Clayton Bay. I slept again long and feel fresh. Andrew and I had some coffee and breakfast before leaving for town, Victor Harbor. At first, we entered a hardware store. Andrew needed some light switches and other small items for his new home. Next, we went into a shopping center where Andrew had a haircut while I was sitting down for a coffee, watching the life around me.

Andrew came back, and we drove close to the ocean. It’s somehow a place for retired people and tourists, with beautiful nature around. We crossed a long bridge towards a small island.

Granite Island
It’s really beautiful walking around this small island, with stunning trees and grass. Walking back to Viktor Harbor, we met Jo, a friend of Andrew’s. She is a Yoga teacher, dreadlock artist, working with soundbaths and more. The next step was food shopping at Woolworths, a huge supermarket. We got all the stuff we need for weeks, probably. Anyway, there will be shops on our road trip except in the outback. The Australian Outback is the vast, remote interior and coasts of Australia, covering about 70% of the continent and characterized by a mix of arid, semi-arid, and tropical climates.
We visited some good friends of Andrew’s in a nice, spacious house in Victor Harbor. We had a drink and a long chat with them.
On the way back, I saw the first time kangaroos in nature in my lifetime.

The rest of the day was just relaxing. We will do the last packing and preparations the next day, before we leave on Wednesday morning.
