Road trip – 337 km – Merredin
This was the last night in this beautiful house in Kalgoorlie. We would continue in the direction of Perth today. We could either have a night in Southern Cross or in Merredin before Perth. Perth is still 655 km from Kalgoorlie, and we are not in a rush.
We packed all our stuff and got it into the car. Washing our beddings and cleaning the bathroom. It was really kind of Andrew’s friend to leave us their house for a few days. We were happy to have a proper side window again when driving out of town. We stopped at the company where Sam is working to pass him the keys to the house. Andrew’s friends are the owners of this cement company. On this road, you can see the big haul trucks and caterpillars from

It was an easy drive today. We stopped in Southern Cross, got a coffee for takeaway, and visited a museum with lots of old stuff and machines.

Otherwise, the town was not very welcoming. We headed on towards Merredin. This city is quite nice and well taken care of. Out of the Wild West area. We walked into a supermarket, got something for lunch, and were sitting in a park eating. Driving a bit around the town, and entered the caravan and camping place.

Thanks, Marg and Rick! We still have a great time; every day is different. We reached Perth today, and Andrew’s brother lives here. We have done 4400 km now. We will stay for some days before driving along the coastline. Have a nice day, Chandresh
