Road trip – 227 km – Port Campbell

The Retro Motel in Portland was very convenient. Some retro items in the motel included an old radio, and the shower had a red lamp that switched to green and blue. There was WiFi with speeds of more than 200 Mb/s and Netflix available. The bed was covered with a heating blanket. We left the Motel before 10:00, heading towards Port Campbell. There would be a lot of sightseeing today.

There was the lighthouse at Cape Nelson and the Petrified Forest at Cape Bridgewater.

Petrified Forest

On the way to the lighthouse was an Enchanted Forest.

We reached the Tower Hill Wildlife Reserve

Can you see the Koalas?

The first time today that I saw some Koalas in nature. They are really cute.

And some Emus…

Around the Bay of Islands, we saw some spectacular limestone formations in the ocean.

There was again rain today. We booked two beds early in Port Campbell, Sow and Piglets Guesthouse. A beautiful place, we are in a room with four bunk beds, which feels a bit like being on a camino.
