Road trip – 150 km – Apollo Bay
“Life is either a daring adventure or nothing at all.” ~Helen Keller~

On another rainy day, we wouldn’t look for a campsite tonight. Our destination would be around Apollo Bay for today. There were more sightseeing views along the road.

The 12 Apostles seem to be quite popular here. Lots of cars and buses were parked there.

We were driving down towards Cape Otway. There was a beautiful forest, and suddenly, many trees looked quite dead.

There was the Cape Otway Lightstation. They usually charge 22AU$ for entrance. It was reduced to 10AU$ as the Lightstation couldn’t be visited due to maintenance. Anyway ,we didn’t go there, paying for nothing. We checked for the backpacker guesthouse and other accommodation at a caravan park. They had cabins, caravans, and some huts to rent, but pretty overcharged for the quality. I booked a room in a Motel in Apollo Bay. Much more convenient here. Apollo Bay is a pretty small town. Quite busy with tourism here. But that seems to be quite common on the Great Ocean Road. I am wondering how busy it must be here in summer.
