Buen Camino – 23 km – Ledigos
06:30 in the morning, still fresh. Patricia startet earlier, will be a long day until Ledigos. After one hour I catched her up, we had a break, some breakfast. The first 17 km is just a straight path, not even a curve.
Shortly after our break there was a Food Truck. Lucky me, my first coffee. This guy was really good organised, a small glass fresh Orange Juice and a biscuit with the coffee, nice arrangement. And again walking on the straight path.
Suddenly we saw an animal on the path. Before we were just realising that we never see animals on the Camino, except a bird here or there. It was a cat coming close. We were wondering what this cat is doing here far away from the village. I put my backdown down to get a tin of tuna out. The cat was jumping on my backpack as if it knows. It didn’t seem to be very hungry, was eating but not like a hungry cat. Later near the village we saw more cats hanging around with pilgrims. We thought that cat was just smart to catch up people on the path already. It was not the poor cat we thought …
After 17 km we reached Calzadella de la Cueza. A small village with an Albergue and a pool. But not inviting to stay here. Patricia ordered a toast with tomatoes. It was so hard that she couldn’t eat it, might be from Friday, today is Sunday.
Fancy dormitory here. Beds are cubes, open to the front, socket, USB-connector and light inside.
