The flight with IndiGo lasted four hours. We grounded at 06:40 with a 45-minute delay. The immigration was fast; there were not many people at the e-Visa counters. I just had to complete my Arrival card, which should usually be done on the plane already, but they didn’t give me the card there. I was in India again! Just the baggage claim, and I left the airport. Just walking out, and I saw Sampath already waving at me.

Sampath is my driver; he gave me a lift the year before when I came back from Sri Lanka. The tour would last around four hours to Tiruvannamalai. He also rents scooters and bikes, but this time he has already taken them all out. On the way, we stopped at a nice Restaurant and had a Dosa and Puri. My first Indian dish on this tour.

We reached Tiruvannamalai at 11:30. Sampath dropped me directly at the place where Gopika stays this time, Yogi Bhagavan Homestay. She has arranged an apartment for me in the same house on the roof. I will be there for 10 days until Gopika leaves for Sri Lanka, and I will get her apartment then until she is back. I have a good view of Arunachala from the roof.

I settled in. Gopika has nicely arranged everything for me. Later, we drove on her scooter to an Indian lady who had a scooter to rent for 10 days. I will get Gopika’s scooter when she leaves. She showed me around the area, and there are many small roads I will have to remember, somewhere between the Ashram and Perumpakkam Road. In the afternoon, I just relaxed in my apartment and fell asleep for an hour. Gopika ordered Pizza at Wild Child Restaurant for 18:00. It seems they are doing this every Sunday now. After dinner, I was driving home. I slept before 22:00. Hope the jetlag will not be strong.
