Wisdom

The one who values time and life goes beyond both.

I should mention that Maa has an excellent singing voice and frequently ends her satsangs by rendering one of her favourite chants or songs.

Adi illada anandam ‘The bliss that has no beginning’

The bliss which has no beginning and no end my father, Arunachala Ramana, has given to me. It came like a rain, turned into a river and then merged in the ocean. It came like a seed that blossomed into a flower which never withered away. This is the bliss where there is no ‘my-ness’, no relationships, and where even ‘I’ don’t exist. Seeing his eyes and listening to his stories is bliss. Abiding in that pure being itself is bliss.

Less people are joining Satsang now. No more squeezing for people sitting on the floor. There are fewer foreigners everywhere now, and also in restaurants. The temperature is on average 35 degrees now. It’s not unusual for me; it can be the same in Portugal. But Portugal is still chilly now.

After Satsang I drove directly to the SBI (State Bank of India) ATM to withdraw some cash. There were people before me, two machines are in there. But they couldn’t get money, still empty I thought. There is another ATM just behind the chai shop. But also there seemed to be some confusion, but no money. I had a chai before heading home. It was still a bit early for lunch. But I got hungry soon, didn’t have breakfast this morning. I make bigger gaps now, not eating, like intermittent fasting. I also try to avoid chocolate or biscuits. I didn’t buy even nuts or other savory or spiced things. Just fruits instead. The grapes I bought are nice, while the oranges are not of good quality.

So I started again looking for another ATM on the main road towards the city. The first one didn’t accept my card, with the second one I was successful. Then I had lunch at Ananda Ramana, the hotel close to the chai shop. The Thali was quite good and only 158 rupees (€1,75).

Back in my apartment I slept for around two hours, I must have been quite tired, as I woke up at 05:00 in the morning. After a while I drove towards the Ashram to sit for a while and meditate, listening to the chanting. After leaving the Ashram I bought some fried balls on the road and had a chai. I met Holger there and we talked for a while. He is already much better now, is moving a lot, meeting people. It’s amazing to see how a mindset can change within days. He invited me to visit him in Hungary, I have never been in Hungary, so I will see. I was buying some water on the way back. The house cleaning was supposed to come at 19:00. I heard them being in the house, they came to my room after 20:00. I got new beddings as well, it was time.
