Buen Camino – 19 km – San Juan de Ortega
It was fresh this morning when we started at 07:00. Fortunately the other bar in town was open and we got a coffee before our walk. It was very cloudy after the rain, happy to walk a while without sun.
Every day feels different, the weather, my feet, the environment… very foggy this morning.
Was a long walk through a forest today,
At lunch time we had a rest in the forest besides the path. A guy with two horses from the other side was passing by.
There was some music in distance. When we came close there was a Spanish woman painting on wood. She offered us some nice cool watermelon.
It’s an old monestery where we stay tonight. Reminds me somehow at India. Rozenn, Jan and I had some dinner in the bar, now resting. Tomorrow we will reach Burgos, bigger city, 170.000 inhabitants. I decided this morning to buy new shoes in Burgos, and a walking stick. Usually not the best idea to walk with new shoes, but it can’t be worse than with mine now.
