THE VOID
We fight with the void and are then defeated, not because the void is stronger than us, but because it is not. Now, stand up and fight with the empty space of the room so that you can know and taste the whole stupidity of the human mind. And then sit down and laugh at yourself, and as the laughter dies down be silent and search within, and then you will come to know a deep mystery: the mystery that the void is not only without but within also!

After writing and reading in the morning, I left the hotel at 09:00. I walked down the road to see where I could have breakfast today. I wanted to try something new. I walked along the main road when I saw some small Indian Restaurants. I entered one, and an Indian family had breakfast here. I ordered Aloo Paratha with curd, an unleavened flatbread filled with potatoes. The filling can vary.

With a Masala chai, this is a nice breakfast for 100 rupees (€1,10). On the way back I was buying some Darjeeling tea bags for my room. I ran out of Nescafe and wanted to have something different.
I spent some time in my room reading and writing. Ambara would be busy with Satsang until 12:15, and she was writing. So we could meet after that. At 14:00 she would join a group for rafting down the Ganga for an hour, which is very popular here. I came to her hotel at 12:15, but she didn’t appear. I think she meant 13:15, Satsang starts at 11:00 and takes longer. So I strolled around for a while before walking back to my hotel. I asked Ambara to meet her later for dinner instead of lunch, as time would be short before her rafting starts. At 17:00, she usually joins the chanting of the Gayatri-Mantra at Sacha Dham Ashram. This is the Ashram where ShantiMayi used to have Satsang before she left her body this year. Then Ambara wants to do some shopping. She is leaving Rishikesh on Thursday night back to Europe.
In the late afternoon, I went out again and gave some clothes to a laundry service. It will be ready on Wednesday at 22:00. I visited the organic shop to buy an energy ball for later. They have different ones with coconut, chocolate, or almonds … I strolled around again for a while, there are so many shops. Then I went back to have dinner at Bodhi Cafe. I saw that I got a response from the Ashram in Lucknow. I requested a 7-day stay there. Back in my room called them to confirm. Then I booked a flight ticket from Dehradun to Lucknow. The flight will be on Thursday, 27.03.2025, at 07:55. So, Wednesday will be my last day in Rishikesh. The taxi driver who got me to Osho Gangadham will also bring me to the airport. I think I should start here at 05:00 to be safe on time. To the airport it takes around 40 minutes.
