THE BEAUTY OF THE STARS
One has to become more aware than one ordinarily is. To be a sannyasin means to enter into the phenomenon of the sacred. For that, more awareness is needed, much more, because it is not something mechanical, something routine. It is now every day. It is moving from the unknown towards the unknowable. It is dropping the known every day, dying to the known, and entering into the unknown. It is an eternal pilgrimage, because every moment is so full of mystery that one has to be very alert, otherwise one will miss.
Very few people know the beauty of the stars… Very few people know the beauty of the mountains.
Good morning! I slept well last night. After finishing my standard procedures, such as showering, reading, having breakfast, and other small things, I left for a trip to Bara Imambara. This stunning 18th-century monument is famous for its Bhul Bhulaiya (labyrinth) and grand central hall.
I ordered an Uber car with the app, and after 10 minute,s the car arrived. It will take me around 25 minutes to get there. On the way, one road was closed, so it took a bit longer to reach Bara Imambara.

On the left side of the complex, there were walkways on different levels. Sometimes it was quite dark there.

The labyrinth was quite huge on different levels, walking up and down some stairs, I didn’t know where I am at all. Sometimes when I reached the edge at least I could see where I am when there was a view to the outside. And there were many people in the labyrint, some bigger groups as well, and a lot of shouting, kind of standard in India. That’s the way how Indians express their excitement.

It took me a while to get out there. At one point, I started following other people, but they also didn’t know where to go. In the end, I followed an Indian couple climbing out of a window onto a wider platform. From there we would find the way out. A little bit of cheating 😄
It was time for lunch and I ordered another Uber. He arrived fast and got me back to Papaji Satsang Bhavan. The price is only 100 rupees. At some places, they are really massively overcharging, like in Rishikesh. Prices are always getting spoiled by tourists paying too much. Here in Lucknow, I haven’t seen any foreigners yet. I just spent my time with Indians here, which I enjoy in this beautiful house.
Back home, I had my lunch and a nap. Late afternoon, I went out again to walk around a bit. There was a big ceremony with loud music on the road. Some trucks with musicians and dancers were blocking the road. The Chaitra Navratri festival started today.
Chaitra Navratri 2025, Day 1: Chaitra Navratri begins on March 30, 2025, and is a major nine-day Hindu festival in honor of Goddess Durga that ends with Ram Navami. The festival includes worship, fasting, and rituals that celebrate the triumph of good over evil. It coincides with the Hindu New Year and the beginning of spring.

I wasn’t long back home when Narendra asked me to drop me at Shamboh Cafe. This is the Cafe from Mukti, I recently met him here. It was a nice offer and we went on his bike there. I was surprised how nice the Cafe looks, quite different than the usual Indian ones. But it suits Mukti, he is a very kind and spiritual being.

Mukti offered me some snacks, one was sweet, made for Chaitra Navratri. The other snack was made from potatoes with a delicious sauce. And I got the best Lassi in a long time.
Mukti is a therapist for psychic issues as well as an astrologer. We talked about Papaji, Sri Ramana Maharshi, and Osho. He came to know about Osho in 2001, when he was 13 years old. Later he got connected with Papaji and Sri Ramana Maharshi. In a way, it is the same with me.
