The beginner plays with many possibilities, for the expert there are only a few.
Good morning! I had another good sleep last night. There will be breakfast on the roof terrace. This morning I had a muesli with curd and fruits. The next step would be heading to the Ncell head office to change my SIM card to eSIM. I need my physical Portuguese card sometimes for receiving SMS about 2-factor authentication for some services. It was about 20 minutes to walk to the Ncell head office, a new building with expensive shops. I got a waiting number, there were only two people behind the counter. But I would be the next one. The guy behind the counter said, I could have done the conversion to eSIM with the Ncell app, but at the airport they were so fast and didn’t enter all the data properly, therefore I had to come here. Now it works and I could replace the Ncell card with the NOS card from Portugal.
My next destination was the Monkey Temple (Swayambhu Temple). 40 minutes to walk from where I was. It felt good to walk a bit, I need some exercise. After I while, I left Thamel and it was quieter.

The feces are discharged into the river, it looks sad
I had to cross the Bishnumati River, it smelled shitty and looked terrible. The urban area of Kathmandu has 862.000 inhabitants. I reached the temple, it is a buddhist temple. Now I had to climb up many steps.

Many people were here and many shops as usual. It is a big area, really huge for a temple area. After a while I left the temple and ordered a bike with inDrive. After some minutes we met and I got a ride on a motorbike back to Thamel. He dropped me near my hotel, I had only 100 rupees to pay.
Back in my hotel I had some lunch at the rooftop. I called the Lotus Guest House to book a room for some days. The double room with attached bathroom is only avalable from the 8th of April, so I booked a room for three nights. In Namtso Hotel I extended my stay for one night. Then it was again time for a nap.
After waking up I ordered a coffee in my room. Good to have one. I could read and write a while before I left to pick up my laundry. My orientation was never good, I needed some attempts to find it. Somehow I didn’t store it in Google Maps. Then I was sitting in a quite nice place for a sandwich and masala chai.

I am back in my hotel. My nose is itching again and running a little. It must be the pollution here in Kathmandu. According to IQAir, it is worse then in Delhi here. I had a shower, but the water didn’t get hot tonight, so I will wash my hair tomorrow. I forgot to buy water. So I went out again, the shops are near here, it just takes three minutes. Time to rest now.
