Road trip – 0 km – Perth

I slept well last night. Andrew was sitting and chatting with his brother Steven past midnight. I slept earlier. This morning, we three left for a walk along the Swan River. It’s along the beautiful Bardon Park. Feels good to walk instead of driving in a car.

We walked for an hour before we sat down in a Cafe next to the river.

It was a relaxed morning, sitting there and chatting. After a while, we left and walked back home. Steven would work this afternoon till late evening.

Andrew and I left early afternoon for Perth downtown. There is a Metro Station, Maylands, close by. The district here is called Maylands as well. We went with the Metro towards Perth, which is the Central Station.

The Metro arrives at Maylands

We were hungry, just had a piece of toast this morning. Google Maps showed a Thai Restaurant close by. We had some lunch there and decided to visit Kings Park with its view over Perth and a Botanic Garden. There are free buses in Perth. They are called Blue Cat; there is also a Red, Yellow, Green, and Purple line. The BlueCat would bring us to Kings Park.

We reached the Kings Park and walked through the Botanical Garden. We have been more in nature today than in a big city. Perth has a lot of Green. I feel quite relaxed in this city. Anyway, I wouldn’t like to live in any city anymore. After leaving Hamburg more than six years ago, I lived in the countryside of Portugal.

A good view of Perth

We had a coffee, sitting in a Cafe. Just a smooth day, driving back with the Blue Cat Bus, entering the Metro towards Maylands, and got some bread from Woolworths. We walked home and would chill the rest of the day.
