Buen Camino – 20 km – Hornillos del Camino
What a wonderful day, my feet are so at ease with my new shoes. We were just three people in the Albergue, Patricia from Ireland, a guy from Korea, which name I still can‘t spell, and I. We walked all together today, leaving Burgos around 07:00.
And then we reached a small church. There was an old nun and another woman welcoming us. She was talking in Spanish about the message of faith, hope, love. She had a strong charisma. She said the pilgrims are a gift for this church. Patricia was translating it later for me. It was very touching, we got a medallion to protect us and of course a stamp in our pilgrim pass. In the end both of them were hugging us.
Patricia will just walk for one week. She is walking the Camino in stages. She made me aware of something I didn’t realise. Walking the Camino in one row without any doubts.
I know from now on the journey will change, the spiritual stage from Burgos to Santiago de Compostella.
