Road trip – 0 km – Perth
I have some relaxed days here in Perth with Andrew, Steven, and Pauline. Pauline is Steven’s girlfriend. This morning, we four had another walk through the Baigup Wetlands along the Swan River. The wetlands of the Swan River in Perth include areas like the Baigup Wetlands and the Beeliar Wetlands, which are important ecosystems for biodiversity and provide ecological services like water filtration. While many historical wetlands on the Swan coastal plain have been reclaimed for urban development, several remain and are now managed for conservation and recreation, such as the Swan Canning Riverpark.
We had a coffee in the park. Andrew was in contact with Kim and Andrea. That’s the couple from Kalgoorlie, where we stayed for three nights. They are just back from Spain and stayed some days in Perth.
On the way back, we grabbed some food from IGA and had lunch at home. Home is here, Steven’s apartment, for a few days. Later in the afternoon, we left again by car. Pauline was driving us towards Fremantle, Cottesloe Beach. We walked around for a while. It’s a beautiful beach here; the ocean has a mesmerizing color.
Sitting for a while in the Cottesloe Hotel, having some drinks, looking at the ocean, and the afternoon passed by. Driving back home, Pauline prepared some dinner, just a relaxed day.
