I am feeling a bit sick, my nose is running annoyingly. It’s maybe from the fans running in my room and other places, also the air quality is not the best, people burning garbage. Again breakfast with Masala Dosa at Sathya’s Cafe.

Idli and other stuff

Then I decided to by a router for my apartement. There is the network cable already and I will exchange the router. I stopped near the Ashram at an ATM to get some money. In India the biggest notes are now 500 rupees (€5.65), the 1000 and 2000 rupee notes were abolished. Back in 2016, Indians had to exchange all their cash at the bank. What was intended to fight corruption led to chaos. In 2023 the 2000 rupee note is also being withdrawn from circulation.

At the ATM I met Jonatan again, also needed some fresh money. The maximum amount with one withdrawl is 10.000 rupees (€113). Jonatan was on the way to the German Bakery, a cafe and restaurant close by. I was driving into town to get my router, first I checked at Shiva electronics, then at Reliance Digital, both didn’t sell routers. I was driving then to the place where I bought the USB to Network Adapter some days ago, Smart Infotech, small shop but they have some equipment, I got my router there. It’s only 1500 rupees (€17). There was an electric outage when I left my apartement, in all the area, and there was still no electricity. That’s really hilarious, now I have a router to receive proper internet but no electricity 😂🙃

On photos you never see how busy it really is
Advertising his veggies

There are these super annoying cars selling vegetables, and continously repeating some slogans very fast. It’s recorded and plays nonstop. As if the streets are not noisy enough yet.

In the afternoon I was sleeping for a while, hoping my flu will get better. Late in the afternoon the electricity was back. Many hotels and other places are using generators to backup the power in case of an outage.

I installed the new router and after a while it was perfectly working.

For dinner I just went down to Sathya’s cafe. I just sat down when Jonatan came in. So we had a Masala Dosa and a good talk.
