Buen Camino – 24 km – Frómista
Got up earlier this morning at 06:45. Was already awake since 05:30. It’s 24 km today from Castrojeriz to Frómista and it’s getting warmer, 28 degrees around noon. So start walking into the fresh morning.
There is a big hill in front, looks like I have to cross it. The sun is just coming up behind the hills. It’s fresh but I am already sweating walking up the hill.
The first village on the Camino was Itero de la Vega after 8 km. I had the first coffee this morning. This village was not so attractive as the other ones before, even the Café was not very inviting.
In Boadilla del Camino I missed the Café. I passed the town and went on, just walking.
I had a break at the Canal de Castilla. I was 5 km from Frómista. Patricia was writing she just had a hot choc & cake in Boadilla del Camino. So there was a Café a bit aside from the Camino. I was ahead today. Good to walk alone sometimes and good walking together sometimes.

Had a nice nap for two hours. Just around 10 people including me in this Albergue here. Most of them are sleeping. Walking from 06:30 to 13:00 means 7 hours on the road, including the breaks. I must walk around 4 km per hour when just walking. When there are more up and downs even less.
Will go for dinner with Patricia somewhere in town. Guess here is no mini market. At 20:00 will be a mass in the church. Can be quite relaxing.
