Buen Camino – 19 km – Carrión de los Condes
All things work for the best!
Nothing is more important than this moment. It’s not important what I am doing but how I am doing. I have the feeling doing the right thing at the right place. Walking alone this morning. Patricia started early as she wants to avoid the strong sun. Will be 32 degrees in the afternoon.
The first coffee today, always a great pleasure. Eating a sweet bread from yesterday and the rest from an amazing delicious chocolate, just 4g/100g sugar.
Is a long straight way next to a country road, hardly shade, but just a few cars passing. Pilgrims passing by or I pass them, some are on bicycles.
I met Patricia here, she had a longer break. Time for another coffee. Then she said „Let’s make shapes“, which means „Let’s go”. I have never heard this saying before. The rest of the way we walked together to Carrion de los Condes.
A warm welcome in the Albergue Espíritu Santo. Some people really have the right spirit, not everyone is like this.
Spacious dormitory with single beds. Very good atmosphere here.
There is joy and peace in my heart these days, beyond words. Patricia and I are just back from lunch. Russian Salad, Calamari’s and fried potatoes. Talking to some people from Australia and Ireland. Everyone is on his own Camino. I got some Arnica pills from the pharmacy. Helps the muscles and heals other injuries like on my feet.
Some shopping in a supermarket. The first 17 km tomorrow will be without any villages, so it’s good to have some light food and drinks for a break. The next two days will be 50 km to walk until Bercianos del Real Camino.
