The True Heart can’t be divided
Breakfast at Tasty cafe and then Satsang with Amma. Some interesting questions and answers this morning. One man said that he used to live according to logic always. He asked how it changes the perception when following the heart. Amma said, the True Heart can’t be divided. The mind is universal, there is nothing good or bad in it. The question is, who is asking this question? We realise only fragments of the mind, thoughts of all kind. In my own words, you have to become a master of your mind, not a slave. The mind is a tool, use it like this. Suffering is just how much attention you pay to pthysical pain or thoughts.
Back to my apartment I started thinking about if I should change my residence for two more weeks or staying here. “Should I stay or should I go?” In Tiruvannamalai will be the Deepam festival from 4-13 December. 1 or 2 million more people here, and prices are going up as all over the world where big and important events are happening. So it’s maybe a good idea to ask if I can stay 2 more weeks where I am now.
Late afternoon I went out, planned to visit the Ashram. I was sitting opposite the gate in my favourite chai shop when Ganesh showed up, he is a guide around here. I met him several times in the Ashram before. He showed me the Sheshadri Ashram just next to the Sriramanasramam.

There is hardly any shop or establishment or house which does not have a picture of the saint Swamigal adorning the wall or the altar of worship, even to this day, well after nine decades of the Swami attaining Mahasamadhi in 1929. Swamigal along with Sri Ramana Maharshi were considered to be the two most eminent saints of the last century whose feet tread the holy mountain and city of Thiruvannamalai. We had a 20 minutes Meditation there. Then we took a Rikshaw to the big Arunachaleshwara temple, he wanted to show me. It was too crowded, hundreds of people were already waiting, so we didn’t enter.

So we went on to have some dinner in a Restaurant close by.
