Effortless Effort
I skipped breakfast this morning. I went straight for Satsang with Amma. I am enjoying the silence during Satsang. A question came up about how much effort is needed for self-realisation. She was quite funny saying that she is a bit lazy. Hmm, you will have to try many things to find out. It should be effortless effort. Another question was about acting in life and making decisions. Amma said that you cannot decide to be good or bad, actions are taking place. Just don’t identify with the actor.
After Satsang I was driving to the Sriramasasramam. I thought going there for lunch. But at 11:00 they were closing the doors as usual, but asked everybody to leave the Ashram. I think lunch is only for people staying in the guesthouse now. So I was driving back home and was sitting in Sathya’s cafe. I got a very nice Thali there after a while.
In the afternoon I was sitting there with Dakshnamurti and paying my stay here until 17.12.2024. We talked about that it is not very smart to leave at the end of the Deepam Festival, as it will be very crowded when everybody is leaving with bus, taxi, bike or car. Deepam finishes on the 13th and on 15th is fullmoon. So the 17th will be relaxed to leave Tiruvannamalai.
I was driving to get some money from the ATM near the Ashram. Here is a Lassi House, where they are offering all kind of Lassi’s and Milk-Shake’s with and without ice-cream. Good place to stop for refreshing.
In the evening I was not sure where to have dinner. Suddenly it came to my mind that it is Wednesday and Pizza day at Sathya’s. So I just needed to go down the road some meters. Jonatan and others were already there. I met some new people. Uma and Shanka, Freddy from Denmark was there and other people, I forgot their names already. We had a delicious pizza and good conversation. It’s always ineresting to meet new people, sometimes we even realise to have the same friends from the past.
