Buen Camino – 26 km – Foncebadón
I left the Albergue in Astorga before 06:30 today. Just around the corner I got my first coffee.
The woman in front of me is from South-Korea. We started together, we walked a little while together, in the end we arrived at the same time in Foncebadón.
Most of the day I walked by myself. Countryside and a village, countryside …
It was an easy day to walk, there were many trees and forests. It was much warmer than yesterday.
The mountains coming closer. They are just waiting for me.
Now it starts going up
Again an amazing view. I met Lily here, a french woman I met already in Grañon and later, I filled up my water bottle, just 5 km left.
The Albergue is the public one and just by donation. There were just two beds left when I arrived. But here are 7 other Albergues. It looks like here are only Albergues, not a real village. Very nice place here, high up.
I just got invited here by these people for lunch, a delicious cooked rice meal. This woman on the table, quite older than me, she is walking all the way. I met her in the morning when I left the Albergue in Astorga, she corrected my backpack belts, just talking Spanish. When I washed my clothes and wanted to dry them she gave me a basket. I had the feeling that some people are really take care about me, a warm feeling.
There is no WiFi in the Albergue, also the movistar connection is not very good. I am just in another café where they have WiFi. In the end I could upload this Post.
Had a good nap for one hour. Then I was outside and met my friends from Thaiwan, Li En and Yang (Kitty). We had a delicious Pizza in the Restaurant garden with two other Korean women. I really enjoyed this evening.
