If we want to clarify why our universe exists in the way it does, the answer is that it has all the properties suitable for the emergence of intelligent beings who are able to ask this question.
I was there for breakfast at Sathya’s after 08:00, and I plan to go to Satsang again. It started raining, so I went back to my room getting my red rain jacket. I was just a little wet when I arrived at Jnana Ganga Madiram. The Satsang was quiet and peaceful for about the first 25 min. Then a gentleman delivered a rousing rendition of a song he had written for Amma. As he put it, the song is a cocktail of jnana, bhakti, mind, ego, etc. He named the song “Thiru Amma Malai Cocktail”. The room broke out in spontaneous applause when the gentleman finished. Amma was also smiling and enjoying the song greatly.
Shortly after, a lady said – I am very moved by the freedom that is available here to express oneself through song, asking questions, sitting anyway, meditating anyway, etc. It is not just an outer freedom but more an expression of the inner freedom that is accessible to us in your loving presence. This freedom results in the deep respect people here have for each other. When I look around and see all the different cultures present here and people from all backgrounds coexisting, it gives me great hope that through Advaita we can unite the world and reduce suffering. I am very grateful to be here in this presence. Thank you.
Amma looked very lovingly and compassionately at the lady for a while.
A lady then asked – Ammaji, does the body go through physical transformation after realization?
Amma responded – yes, the body is in the mind. So, some physical changes may happen to the body when the mind is dissolved.
After Satsang, it was raining heavily, but I managed to get home on my scooter. I recently treated my old rain jacket with a waterproofing spray, but my T-shirt underneath still turned wet.
I am just in my room today, it’s quite heavy and nonstop raining. In the afternoon I just went down to have a chai at Sathya’s. Later at 18:00, I will go again to have a pizza. I believe not many people will be there today as it rains so much.
Mirka and Jonatan were there for Pizza night. It was good to see somebody, most people will not leave their rooms in this rain. It probably will rain for more than 7 days. Let’s see …
