Consciousness loves to play with forms
The rain stopped last night after 36 hours. The roads are flooded, and the dirty roads are completely damaged. There were several electric outages, even for hours. The internet is still off, only the mobile internet is working.

Nearly no rain this morning, just a little drizzling. I was driving to Tasty Cafe for breakfast. Moksha was sitting there already. I joined him and we were talking about the rain. Last night he was on the road and had to step aside because a car was approaching. There was a puddle, he walked in and his whole leg was inside. He couldn’t see how deep it was. His leg is a bit scratched now, he was lucky. There was no Satsang this morning, the dirty road to the Ashram is completely flooded, there will be Satsang at 17:30 today.

When driving back, I stopped at a shop near the Ashram. I asked for a raincoat and got one for 100 rupees. It is all plastic, long enough to cover the knees on my scooter, and has a hoody.

On my way to Saatvik Restaurant for lunch I saw the landslide on the left, 8 people died from falling mud and rocks.
I stopped at my favorite chai place opposite the Ashram. Sitting in Saatvik Rest. I ordered a “Special Menu”, it was a delicious Thali.
It was the first time that I joined Satsang in the evening. Usually, it’s Tuesday and Friday.
A gentleman then said – I read something interesting today where Bhagwan said even for a jnani there are traces of the intellect left in the jnani’s astral body. Is it similar to having traces of an intellect left for the jnani (while they are in the body) as part of their harmless ego (like a burnt rope)?
Amma responded—the Jnani has no ego left. Even if the intellect appears to be present, it is only pure intelligence that functions through that instrument. Pure intelligence is unlimited, whereas the intellect is limited.
The gentleman followed up and asked – what about the astral body? Does a jnani still have an astral body?
Amma smiled and responded – the astral body is referred to as adi vahika sharira (in Sanskrit). It is also referred to as sukshma sharira (subtle body). But the astral body is only a concept. We don’t know what it is. In the jnani the kaarana sharira (causal body) is fully destroyed by realization. And even though they appear to have a sukshma sharira, that sukshma sharira is already merged with the pure intelligence. As far as the gross body, while it may appear to exist for the jnani, he is no longer identified with it.
A lady then asked – how does the dream appear to the individual ego? For example, the recent cyclone was in everyone’s dreams here in Tiru.
Amma responded – the dream appears to exist only when there is a dreamer. When the dreamer appears to be real and in the dream, then other individuals are also seen. So, everything appears to exist only if the dreamer appears to be real.
A gentleman then said – I have created my dream with you in it. Can you please wake me up?
Amma laughed and said – yes, yes.
The gentleman followed up – how can I make it easier for you to wake me up?
Amma smiled and said – do nothing.
The gentleman asked again – what is the experience of the awakened state?
Amma responded – you are all already awakened. Don’t think you are not. Who is this unawakened one asking about being awakened? Who is asking what is this unawakened state?
Amma added – I am. That is the experience of the awakened state. There are no bright lights or anything when one attains the highest. Just “I am that”.
The gentleman followed up and said – my apologies, I should have phrased the question differently. How does an awakened person move between the real and the illusion?
Amma smiled and responded – the dreamer begins to dream. This happens because individual consciousness is still present. This makes other individuals look different from the dreamer. When the individual consciousness is no longer present, the dreamer and dream have disappeared and only the one consciousness is present.
Amma added – after this, there is no longer the illusion of separateness. The error cannot be made anymore. Even if the dreamer and dream appear to exist, they exist only as part of the one consciousness. This is the absolute.
Amma continued – once the absolute is known, then even if there appears to be a dreamer within a dream, they are not identified separately and are simply recognized as the one consciousness. For this reason, there is no going back ever to the illusion and ignorant state, once the dreamer has disappeared.
Another gentleman interjected and said – and there is no more suffering either?
Amma responded – yes. Apparent suffering ceases to exist. Do you all understand this?
Everyone collectively said – yes, Amma.
Amma smiled – that’s good. Now you all should go home safely. She then smiled, got up, and ended the satsang.
