Buen Camino – 26 km – Triacastela

Nothing you can know that isn’t known.
Nothing you can see that isn’t shown.
Nowhere you can be that isn’t where you meant to be.
It’s easy.

Kitchen in La Faba

We had the best equipped kitchen here in La Falba. Some Nescafé in the morning. Michelle, one of the English women, put a bandage around my swollen ankle. Then back to the Camino. Michelle is very fast, so she went ahead.

Beautiful views from the top
Here I reached Galicia today

It wasn’t so bad as I thought, the way up I mean. Reaching 1300 meters in O Cebreiro.

Reaching O Cebreiro

Met Andrew here, Michelle was already here, time for another coffee and a croissant.

Some nice cold water

I was walking with Andrew the rest of the day. The weather was really comfortable, cloudy, no sun, 22 degrees. There were big school classes on tour, 40 people in a group. They did camping.

Lots of teenagers on the Camino
Just here a calf was born when we passed
Construction of a Stone Age House

We arrived in Fillobal. We had a wonderful lunch here with a delicious cheesecake as dessert. Wanted to stay here first, but as the path was not so difficult to walk, I decided to continue to Triacastela. Just 4 more kilometres.

This is an 800 years old chestnut tree

We arrived in Triacastela. Albergue Complexo Xacobeo was a good choice. I share a double room with Andrew tonight.
