Another day in Canberra. The WiFi in the hotel still doesn’t work. We went to town again on bus R6. The internet for the bus also didn’t work, which means we couldn’t pay for the bus. We had breakfast in Coffers Cafe, where we had lunch yesterday. The High Court is on the other side, near the river. We entered the building, got checked, and entered the courtroom. It is tradition to bow your head when entering the room. We sat silently and listened to the lawyer and the seven judges. The case was Cullen v State of New South Wales.

It’s not easy to follow; many paragraphs are involved to make a final decision. The decision will take at least three more months. After around one hour, we left the courtroom. The next stop would be the Questacon. Questacon in Canberra is Australia’s national science and technology centre, known for its hands‑on exhibits and family‑friendly shows. Questacon has over 200 interactive exhibits across multiple galleries, covering topics like earthquakes, space, robotics, and everyday physics. There are also live science shows and performances by an in‑house theatre troupe aimed at making science fun.
I spent around two hours there while Andrew was wandering outside along the river. We met at the river and had some lunch. Then we had another visit to the High Court, listening to the other side, defending the police.
We visited the old parliament building, which was used until 1988, and then the new parliament opened.

All in all, it was good to come here to Canberra, visiting the Capital City of Australia. It has different vibes here than Perth or Melbourne. Also, it is very green, it has many parks and trees. Back in the hotel, we are resting. Tomorrow at 11:55 will be our train to Sydney.
