Guru
The Guru does not support dvaitam (duality). If anyone carries the duality within them, He removes it.
When I woke up after 05:00, it was a good start in the morning. There was still time to read, have a shower, and learn Portuguese. At 10:00, it would be Kirtan in the Sunshine Guesthouse. After having breakfast at Sathya’s, I was shortly back in my apartment. I started with my scooter down the Perumpakkam Road. I saw Jonatan walking in the distance, so I stopped next to him so he could sit on the back of my scooter.

The Mantras
I was for the first time at Sunshine Guesthouse. Kirtan will be on the roof. There is a big room with a roof and fans. Around 30 people were already there. Three musicians played guitar, harmonium, and drums. Many people seem to have been here for many times and years already. It was quite joyful to sing together Mantras.

I understand more and more about Arunachala. Somehow it pulls me to stay here. While Rishikesh in the Himalayas is the Yoga capital of the world, Arunachala is the Spiritual Heart of the world. It attracts seekers from all over the world and we have a peaceful and insightful time here.
Arunachala (Sanskrit: अरुणाचल aruṇācala m.) literally means “the red (Aruna) mountain (Achala)”. Arunachala is also called Arunagiri, “hill of light”. Symbolically, Arunachala stands for the sun’s warming rays at dawn, which it brings into our closed hearts.

After Kirtan we went to Annai Cecilia Cafe nearby. There will be Thali offered now on Wednesday, Friday, and Sunday. Edwin and his daughter Cecilia are Indian Christians. It is not always easy for Indian Christians in a Hindu country. Uma and Shankar were also there, Freddy and other people.
I was shortly talking with Jonatan about Sri Lanka. He also has to leave India at one point in January. My deadline is the 01.02.2024. Better to leave a day before. Exceeding the visa might cause a ban for years to come back to India. Maybe we can do something together in Sri Lanka for a week or two.
After my afternoon map I drove to the Ashram. First I had a good ginger chai in my favorite place. I was meditating for a while in the Meditation hall. There were some Sadhus in orange meditating. On the road close to the Ashram there are many Indians in orange. They are mostly very dirty and begging. They are just beggars in orange. A real Sadhu doesn’t beg. So you always have to see who is real and who is fake. Same with people giving Satsang.
