Buen Camino – 25 km – O Pedrouzo

Just back to nature. Leaving this beautiful house. Knowing it’s just two days to walk makes the walking lite. The sprain in my ankle is getting better, the swelling is less.

One of the newbies was asking: Where did you start? In Saint-Jean. Where is that? In France. You walked all the way? Yep

It’s nice for so many people just walking for 5 days. In 5 days, 20 km a day, you get a good impression what it is about. The joy, the fun, the struggle, being with yourself.

All the way

Time for coffee here. There is nobody on the path yet. Most people went to Arzúa which is in front of us, or they are behind us. A Fraga Alta where we stayed is a really small place.

This lovely family with three children is from Maryland / Washington. They are travelling from Sarria to Santiago. The children really seemed to enjoy it.

Where should I go?
Passing Arzúa

It’s getting warm today, will be 28 degrees in the afternoon. In the morning I got my hoody out of the backpack, just 10 degrees.

In the end I got a new stick
Pilgrims leaving here memories

I met Melissa and her father in a café. She is a 19 years young Brasilien, living in Texas. We were walking a while together sharing our life experience. Lot about Meditation, Melissa is very open minded.

Some nice music with a small handpan

Some of us are trying to organise a meeting point for tomorrow, so we can enter Santiago together. There are quite some who did the Camino from Saint-Jean. It will be a big celebration at the square in Santiago.

Lunchtime with Andrew and Maria

Meeting Maria again, she is from Mexico. She is struggling with her feet from the beginning, but never gave up. Here are many people with feet- or leg issues. Blisters on the first day, knee problems on the second day …

Coming close to Pedrouzo

Andrew and I rented a room in a Pension again here in Pedrouzo. Dormitories will be on the way to Finisterre again. Just back from a drink in town, short visit in a supermarket. Soon I will see what they have for dinner here. Restaurant Parrillada Reguero was a recommendation here.

Being out for dinner with Andrew and two Irish and an English woman. It got late, was a lot of laughter.
