Guru
With Guru’s Grace, many lifetimes of teachings (lessons) can be given within a short span of time.
I woke up early again, around 05:30, to read and learn some Portuguese. I skipped breakfast this morning. Last night the peanut wraps in The Dreaming Tree Restaurant were quite a lot to digest. Instead, I drove to the Ashram for some Meditation before Satsang. On the way, I saw Jonatan walking and gave him a lift to the Ashram. I was first sitting in the big Samadhi hall, then in the Meditation room. Before 09:00 I started to Sri Jnana Ganga Mandiram Ashram for Satsang.
After Satsang, I stopped at The Inner Child Restaurant. As I had no breakfast I was a bit hungry now and ordered some Tomato Bruschetta, which came with very delicious sourdough bread. After a while, Konstantin joined me and we were talking. He is thinking about joining a Tantra workshop and asked me about my experiences. When he left Mirka joined me. She had to work on an Astrology chart for somebody. Many people like to play with these Astrology readings.

They are preparing the city for Deepam. On the 13th there will be a big fire on the Arunachala, burning Ghee. On my road many shops were built, selling all kinds of things.
After my nap, I was again in the Ashram for Meditation. There is a ceremony close by and every 10 minutes they are drumming for 10 minutes. It’s a miracle that I could sleep with this sound. I bought some snacks and water and went back. On Perumpakkam road I stopped at a tailor’s place. My new trousers need to be shortened. I will get them back tomorrow. In India only men are tailors, I never saw a woman doing this job.

My intention was to have a Masala Dosa at Saatvik Restaurant. On the way, there was a roadblock by police. So I had to drive around somewhere. Coming back to the main road there were more and more people doing the Pradakshina. Pradakshina means the act of walking around any holy place in a clockwise direction, with one’s right side facing the object of adoration. ‘Giri’ means hill; so giri pradakshina refers to walking around Arunachala Hill. This will continue now until Sunday when Sunday is a full moon. The city of Tiruvannamalai has around 150.000 inhabitants. The district has more than 2 million. These days 3-4 million people are expected to join Deepam in Tiruvannamalai.
I didn’t reach Saatvik Restaurant, too many people. Now I understand the roadblocks. I drove back and entered Tasty Cafe, had some Spaghetti and a Green Tea. Time to rest now.
