Bhakti (Devotion)

The longing for the Truth itself will lead to Guru bhakti. When the thirst for the Truth is intense and when Grace gives the experience of the Atman, gratitude flowers within the heart, which itself is Guru bhakti.

These are my last days at Arunachala. This morning, I was eating my last cheese with some bread. But I felt like having a coffee, so I drove to Tasty Cafe for a coffee and some coconut biscuits. Back home, I prepared for Kirtan on the roof of Sunshine Guesthouse. It was nice, as last Sunday. Some Mantra singing can be fun for 90 minutes.

Kirtan is donation-based, so I donated some rupees. It’s time to drive to Annai Cecilia Cafe for lunch. I called him yesterday for a reservation; they have only limited space on the roof. It’s a nice Thali there with many different dishes. He made some custard for dessert today. I met Freddy, Uma, and Shankar again there, and this German woman, I still can’t remember her name.

I wanted to pick up my Kurtas at the tailor’s place, but it was still closed. Today is Sunday. Anyway, I can do it tomorrow. The WiFi at Sathya’s is still not working. I can still access the Internet using my mobile data. There are fewer people today, but many are doing the Pradakshina. After my nap, I was in the Ashram. I could see the fire today, and many people were in the Ashram. I stayed there for dinner, and it was very delicious. It is amazing how many different dishes they can prepare, I think I have never eaten the same there.
