Buen Camino – 23 km – Mougás

This is an easy day. My blisters are much better to walk with today. It was a bit cloudy this morning until noon, good not having the burning sun always in the neck. The days before it was always quite hot since 09:00. Beautiful environment here in Galicia, I really like it.

I am walking alone today, Martina left early this morning. Quite many people have a reduced timeframe for the Camino. Due to their holidays or to pick up their flight somewhere, back to their home-country.

You hardly can see the ocean because of the mist.

Part of this day was on roads. In Spain at least they have proper walkways. The small villages are quite beautiful here.

Not many pilgrims are on this Camino.

Always a pleasure to have a small rest and meal. Just being in nature with myself.

My plan was to reach Porto Mougás today and stay in a pilgrims Albergue. I was there at 13:00 and the checkin would be at 15:00. In front of the Albergue was a German couple, I met them already in Carreço before. They said there is a Camping Moudás 4 km from here. I thought one hour more walking is OK. Good choice, the place is very nice, a three bed room, they have a swimming pool and a cafeteria.

I could dry some washed stuff from yesterday on the balcony, it didn’t dry overnight. I had a shower and was laying on my bed when the door opens and Gerrit came in. The nice German guy I already spent time with in Fáo.
We had a drink in the cafeteria, now we are at the pool, after a refreshing swim.

We had a dinner in the cafeteria. There we met Claudio again, a guy from a Italy. In our room is another elder guy from Italy now, doesn’t speak English. The app “Say Hi” will translate.
Buenas noches
