Buen Camino – 22 km – Estella

It was raining last night. Five minutes after leaving the hostel it started a little again. Just after covering my backpack it stopped. The weather seems to change a bit, there might be more rain until Wednesday.

Every town has two names here, Cirauqui is the basque name and Zirauki the Spanish one.

Here was a nice place prepared to rest in the shade of the olive trees.

Could cool my sore feet here a while and had something to eat. Even the dog was happy to cool down.

Just back on the path there was suddenly a table with water, garlic bread, nuts .., Jesus, an old friendly guy from the “Asociaciones de Amigos del Camino de Santiago” provided all this. Everybody loves him. This moment it started to rain again and first time I had to get out my rain jacket. For my backpack I have a rain cover as well.

Arriving in Estella, enough for today. Was an up and down a lot again today. Later the path will be more level. Strolling around in Estella I found my hostel in the end. Had a shower and a nice nap as usual. Don’t go out today, too lazy and it’s raining from time to time. For tomorrow I didn’t decide yet how far to go, there are options. Tomorrow will take care …
