True Knowledge

Complete knowledge alone gives relief and freedom.

The weather in Goa is pleasant in December and January, around 30 degrees Celsius. It is winter here, we are still in the Northern Hemisphere. Today, Kabir was the first to leave for Ashvem Beach. Later Kerry, Felix, and Rohid left as well. I took my time for reading, writing, and learning. I can stay for a few hours at the beach, but not the whole day. Around noon I left as well.

St. Anthony Church

There are quite some nice churches in Goa, all white colored and big

Arriving at Zorba Vibes at Ashvem Beach Rohid and Felix were sitting in the Restaurant, Kerry and Kabir I found down at the beach where the deckchairs are. I chose my place and was reading for a while.

Kabir gave me a book by Robert Bly “Eisenhans” about men. “Der Eisenhans” is a fairy tale. It appears in the Brothers Grimm’s Children’s and Household Tales from the 6th edition of 1850. The book is an offer to the reader to deal with the problem of masculinity, to recognize that there is no automatic process that turns young men into men, but that this is achieved through a process that is not always successful for everyone. As I understand it is about discovering the female side in men. But many men lost their masculinity that way. It’s about the discovery of the “Wild man” without being patriarchic.

I was in the warm water for a while, sitting in the Restaurant and having a cheese-tomato sandwich.

Resting and reading, that’s all there is to do here. Sometimes I miss a bit the garden work in the morning in Portugal. I am quite used to doing it in the last few years. Anyway, I will be back in Portugal at one point this year.

Ganesh is missing his nose, but he got another upgrade by Kabir today
