Buen Camino – 22 km – Los Arcos

Just waking up from my afternoon nap. I started at 07:00 from Estella to Los Arcos. My T-Shirt and pants were still wet on the washing line, there was rain and thunder in the night. I put the wet stuff in my backpack rain cover, no worries, will dry later.

At one point I had to decide which way to go, the way over Luquin or Villamajor de Monjardin. Both will lead to Los Arcos. I decided to walk via Villamajor de Monjardin, for no reason.

“Would you tell me, please, which way I ought to go from here?” “That depends a good deal on where you want to get to,” said the Cat. “I don’t much care where—” said Alice. “Then it doesn’t matter which way you go,” said the Cat. ~Alice in Wonderland

When in Villamajor de Monjardin I felt to continue walking instead of staying there over night. At one point there was a sign “Food Truck” 2 km. Happy to have a rest when I reached it, forgot to make a photo. Three beautiful women in the Food Truck serving. There where quite some people sitting, eating, drinking and chatting. I met Brian there, the Irish friend from Dennis. I had a coffee and a super delicious piece of carrot cake. Continued walking with Brian to Los Arcos having a good conversation.

David is heading to Najera today, will take a bus to Buros/Leon. Then walking the Camino del Salvador to Oviedo. Then walking the Camino Primitivo.

In Los Arcos I didn’t find the hostel I wanted to go but just another one around. I am in a room with 5 bunkbeds, all empty. Will look for a supermarket now.

I met Dennis again, sitting on the plaza having a drink. We arranged to meet for dinner in Restaurant Mavi. Got some stuff from the supermarket, found some liquorice as well, don’t get it in Portugal. It was a nice evening.
