Today is Valentine’s Day. Not that I really care about it, but at Gia Mantra is an event today. They have a swimming pool, and there will be some open mic music, dancing, and so on…
I have been in the Ashram this morning. We would meet later at 11:00 at Wild Child, Ulrica, Stephan, and Richard. When I arrived at Wild Child, Stephan was sitting there, waiting for his breakfast. I had a coffee, which is pretty good here. Richard arrived, then Ulrica. Ulrica said there would be a shuttle service to Gia Mantra today. I would take Ulrica on my scooter; Richard and Stephan used the shuttle service. We left, and I stopped at Sunshine Guesthouse, because Ulrica forgot her cap there. But she couldn’t find it. So we continued driving towards Gia Mantra.

It‘s really a beautiful place to rest and eat, or for a swim in the pool. At 13:00, there would be a buffet for 300 Rupees. The food was very delicious, and we had a lot of fun. Gopika was also there, and other people I had already met. Gopika would sing later some French songs. There were some people playing instruments. One guy was playing didgeridoo. But it was too loud, and the sound quality had to be improved.
We spent some hours here, I didn’t feel to swim today, although I brought my swimming trunks. But I would come back on another day.
Ulrica wanted to go to Ramesh‘s Garden to buy some 2-hand clothes. So we drove there, on a small road, driving through nature and a small Indian village. Ramesh’s Garden is just opposite Ammani‘s Ashram. They were already closing; it was 15:20. They had packed all the clothes into cases. She could still buy a hat, and we had a chai. I met Louisa and her daughter Antonia again. Antonia will leave for Berlin in two days—a beautiful mother and daughter from Colombia.
We were driving back to Perumbakkam Road. I had a rest before I left for the Ashram. I was too late for the reading, but I could still sit and meditate for a while. I met Ulrica and she had to do some shopping. So we stopped at the supermarket. I just had an ice cream there, just love it. The last stop for today was at Sarala’s, where we had a drink. Tomorrow will be Mahahashivaradri, probably the most significant Hindu Festival.
