Strength in Spiritual Path
The real strength is not of the ego but of the Truth.
I needed to move a bit today, so I drove to Candolim Beach. Dmellos Shack is always a good option. The neighbors were quite active today with their renovation. It can be very noisy when the big machine is mixing cement, so I left before noon.
On the way, it came to my mind where I had been recently with Kabir at Dream Beach. It is also called White Rocks Beach, although the rocks are black there and not white. I had to make a decision when coming closer to the crossroads. My scooter was driving straight; that’s where Vagator is with its Dream Beach.
It was not as crowded as it was on the weekend. I walked to the right side direction to Chapora, the end of this beach, and I reached Sunset Shack. I was one of the first guests, a waiter came and asked me if he could bring me anything. A Banana Lassi was a good choice. I chose my deck chair and relaxed with reading and listening to music. More guests arrived by and by. In front of the shack, there was quite a lot of water, it must be left from the high tide. I went swimming and had a cheese-tomato toast, it’s a relaxed place here. Somehow it feels different at every beach. I stayed some hours before I left.

On the way back I stopped at a minimarket to buy some food and drinks. At one point I stopped because I was on the wrong road. An Indian man was sitting on the road and pointed to my tires. I didn’t understand what he wanted. It was just that I was a bit low on air pressure, he filled my tires, and it was his business. I paid 10 Rupees, good to have enough air pressure.
I intended to buy some veggies in the shop near Kabir’s house in Assagao. But it was closed. So I drove in the direction to Mapusa and found a a stand on the side of the road selling vegetables. I bought some tomatoes, onions, potatoes, beans and pepper.
When I came back Kabir was not there. He escaped also from the neighbor’s noise. Soon after they stopped working and it was quiet. I got a message from a friend with a suggestion for an Indian app called ‘cheq’. With this app, it is possible via UPI to pay by scanning a barcode. This is quite common in India now, many Restaurants and shops offer this service now. Usually, you need an Indian bank account, but not for this app. Just the fees and taxes are too high, 2,2% from my bank, the same as drawing money from an ATM, plus 2,58% Forex markup. So I decided not to use this app, I can pay cash here.
The rest of the day was smooth. We had a Meditation and went our ways then.
