Guidance for Seekers

Shradda‘ (awareness) is neither concentration nor focus on any object. When the mind loses all its focus points (concentration), you are naturally in awareness. That awareness includes everything.

Yesterday I got a message from the optician that my new glasses are ready to be picked up. So after our morning Meditation, breakfast, and some work on my laptop, I left for Mapusa to pick them up. They are just perfect. I can read tiny text. I compared them with my old glasses which are seven years old now and quite scratched. Also in a distance view, everything is more clear. He said I shouldn’t use them on my bike now, but later continuously, so my brain gets used to them.

On the way back I stopped at a pharmacy to buy some Koflet drops. They are tasty and relaxing for the throat. It was more relevant in Tiruvannamalai because of the pollution.

Tamil Nadu and Goa are quite different Indian states. Goa is already more Western Style, because of the tourism and being a Portuguese colony for 450 years. Many women wear short skirts and pants. You wouldn’t see this in Tamil Nadu which is more traditional. Anyway in Tamil Nadu you have these beautiful women in their traditional Sarees.

Kabir got a visitor in the afternoon, Ute from Hamburg. They have known each other for decades, Ute is a Lufthansa stewardess at the end of her working life. We sat in the kitchen and talked for quite a while, about Donald Trump and his inauguration and we jumped to many other topics. We also talked about friends passing away, for sure the older you get the more people will leave their bodies. There is nothing to fear about, life is so impermanent. Sometimes I have a look at the OSHONEWS website, there are stories about the voyages of many Sannyasins, Friends of Osho, after leaving their bodies. Some of them I knew from years ago.

Later I made some pasta with lots of tomatoes, onions and peppers. In the evening I had a Zoom meeting with some friends in Monchique, Portugal.

Enough for today
