Common sense is not so common.
A beautiful morning for the Ashram. I woke up earlier than usual. So I felt it was a good experience to drive to the Ashram. It was 06:00 when I started. For a while, I was sitting in the small Meditation Hall with Bhagavan’s sofa and his portrait. After a while, I moved to Samadhi Hall. The chanting and milk offering would start at 06:45. I enjoy this procedure while sitting on a chair, and then line up for the offering.
I was driving back to Shiva Mantra Residency and had a shower. I was preparing for Satsang with Ammani. Some curd with banana and honey would be a good start. I was writing Karuna, my travel partner for Chennai, on the 4th March. We would meet around 11:00 in the chai shop.
Satsang was relaxing as usual, 90 minutes in silence with 50 other fellows. After Satsang, I started towards the Ashram. It was still before 11:00, and there was still enough time to walk nine times around Bhagavan’s shrine. At 11:00, the Ashram will be closed. I met Karuna in the chai shop. I saw him already in Samadhi Hall before; I thought it would be him. His WhatsApp profile just shows a painting of him. He was born in the Ukraine, and left the country after the war started. He is planning to fly to Madrid from Abu Dhabi, while my flight goes to Lisbon. We had a chai and chatted for a while. I feel comfortable with him.
I was driving back home then. I was still before 12:00, and I thought it would be nice to have lunch at Garuda’s Restaurant for the last time while I was in Tiru. I walked over there; it just takes 7 minutes. A guy from Algeria joined me at the table. It is so interesting to listen to all the different stories, where people are coming from and how they got here.
I would meet Dharma in the afternoon, around 16:00, in Da Mantra Cafe. He wants to show me how to use the Anki app for creating Portuguese language cards with ChatGPT. I was just homewhen he texted me that he would be in the German Bakery or Shanty Cafe. He didn’t have his bike back yet. So I drove to Shanti Cafe, instead of having a nap. He was not there. I got on my scooter again and headed towards the German Bakery. It is just around the corner. He was sitting there with a friend. I told Dharma that I forgot my glasses. I had my Lenovo backpack with my laptop with me. My glasses were in the other bag. He suggested driving to Da Mantra Cafe. There we could sit with our laptops and do the job. I stopped at my apartment and got my glasses. When we reached Da Mantra Cafe, we realised that it was Tuesday. It’s always closed on Tuesday. So we were driving back to Shanti Cafe. There was space, and we could comfortably work with two laptops. It is fantastic what AI can be used for these days.
At 16:00 we had to leave Shanti Cafe, as there is cleaning on Tuesdays. I dropped Dharma at his house, which is very close to Ganga Maa’s Ashram. I drove back to the Ashram and spent some time with Puja and Tamil Parayana singing.
Later, I was just at home and did my private stuff, as reading, writing and coding.
