Grace

The mind and the intellect can only assume about the Self. Only the pure intelligence of the Self can reveal it and give the “Yes” (conviction) from within.

I have packed my stuff last night. So I was prepared for the train to Ella. I had my coffee and sat with Pringi and Srimal for the last hour. I had a lovely time here, felt at home, and welcomed. Another farewell in my life. Who knows if I will come back again after being in India? I just know I will be back in Tiruvannamalai on the 14th. Later in March maybe to the North, I could meet my friend Ambara in Rishikesh. Nepal would also be an option when my Indian Visa expires again after 90 days.

I started with Srimal and headed towards the railway station. On the way, we stopped at a bakery to fetch some buns and Samosas for the trip. My train was supposed to depart at 09:45. Entering the platforms I had to show my ticket, my train would start on platform 4. It was 09:20 and a train was already waiting. I asked somebody if this was the train to Ella. It was the train to Ella. My car was ‘G’, seat number 9. I stored my backpack and sat down. The train was packed with tourists. Two couples hadn’t a seat next to each other. So we changed places and everybody was happy. The train will take seven hours to reach Ella. In time at 09:45, the train started its tour. It is slow climbing up the mountains, but there are amazing beautiful spots along the route. The doors are open, so some have leaned out to take photos. After 4 hours we reached Nuwara Eliya (Nanuoya). They say it looks a bit like in England. I will go there on Monday for two nights.

The highest point was 1910 meters

Three more hours to reach Ella. The train was on time, I reached there at 17:00. My host from “Saveen View Ella” sent me a message to pick me up. It took 30 minutes before the Tuk Tuk arrived, there were many people to be picked up. Then driving to “Saveen View Ella” took maybe 10 minutes. It’s a couple running this place, I always forget their names when not writing it down. She welcomed me showed me my room and brought me some tea. After some minutes she asked if I wanted something for dinner. I agreed and soon later I got some delicious rice and dal with rotis. It is very peaceful, and I feel comfortable in my room.

The view from my veranda

I had my dinner and just rested after this long train journey.
