It is nearly one year ago that I was walking the Camino Francés.
Today I am starting from Barril de Alva, driving to the train station in Santa Comba Dâo. I will leave my van there. The trail is still under construction, since more then two years now. There is a substitute bus to Papilhosa where I catch the train to Porto.
In Porto I took the Metro from Campanhã to Lapa. There I found the Albergue I have chosen, but it was full. They gave me another address for Albergue Senora da Hora. Back to the Metro, some stations and I was there.
This time I will walk the Caminho Portugués from Porto to Santiago. There are two different routes, the central route and the coastal route. I decided to walk the coastal route this time. It is supposed to be very beautiful, but I am sure the central way is it as well.
Sitting here in my bunkbed, slowly the memories are coming back.
I am sure it will be an inspiring, adventurous time again 😀
